Student Visa Requirements

Visa type: Residence permit for studies (non-EU students staying longer than 3 months).

Key requirements: Admission to an approved Swedish university, proof of financial support (SEK 8,514/month), comprehensive health insurance for the first 12 months.

Processing time: Apply at least 2 months before your course starts via the Swedish Migration Agency.

Part-time work: No hour restrictions if you have a valid student residence permit.

After graduation: 12-month residence permit extension to seek employment.
